Who´s next?…. really I dont know…. they have the same pronunciaton…no?

WHO IS next? (short form: WHO’S next?). The pronunciation is the same, that’s true, but not the meaning or usage. WHOSE means “belong to” or “of”. For example: Whose phone is this? (Who does this phone belong to?) / I spoke to a friend whose partner had just left him (the partner of my friend left him).
