“her” and “my family” are the same.
In other way… I really belived that the Swedish plan about corona was really good but with this second wawe I dont know.

If you click on the link and read the full story, you will notice that “her” refers to Dan Eliasson’s sister while “my family” refers to a different group of people. Therefore, this is not the problem. It is a question of tense.. Take a look at my reply to Lara’s comment (below).

”Has been working” would be better, right? since covid still remains and we can assume that this is a situation that still happens nowadays.

Actually, the situation of being in the Canaries is over. He was referring to the period of time that he was there. So, “had been working” is correct.
You can also see this as a case of reported speech. When speaking to the interviewer, he said, “I was working remotely while in the Canaries.” Follow the one-step back rule and “was working” (past continuous) becomes “had been working” (past perfect continuous).
